1). Applicants should carefully read the conditions of eligibility as described in item no. 3 carefully and must satisfy themselves as to their eligibility for the trial before completing the online application and submit the printed application forms online.
2). It should be noted that candidates will not be issued admission cards NET respective coordination Universities / Colleges. It should be noted that their candidature is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the admission card has been issued at the time of online registration and the candidate is allowed to appear in the test does not imply that the Commission has finally accepted his / her candidature.
3).Request (including a copy of the print of the application form online and a copy of the sheet presence) with the required documents (as mentioned in point No. 13) must reach the Registrar / Director of the University of coordination NET / College no later than 22.11 0.2012.
4). It should be noted that no admission card will be issued by the respective coordination NET university / college. Candidates are requested to ensure their place of assembly / test site places on the NET coordination respective university / college and in their note card printing online admission at least 10 days before the test , ie until 20th December 2012.
5). Candidates are required to show a photo ID with them as card printing online admission on the day of the exam.
6).It can be noted that finding the seating test from the website NET respective coordination university / college is the sole responsibility of one candidate. NET coordinating university / college will not be held responsible in this regard.
7).UGC NET can change the Universities coordination or date of examination without assigning any reason.
8).Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
9). No TA shall be given to candidates.
10). Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.

UGC is a statutory body of the Government of India created by an Act of Parliament in November 1956 for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India.
CSIR UGC NET exam is a national exam for entry level in India conducted jointly by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission (UGC) (so called "CSIR-UGC" NET) for candidates of third cycle of science and engineering discipline who wish to qualify for admission to doctoral research and / or use of university-level education in the country.
CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test December 23, 2012 for determining the eligibility of candidates for the Indian national award fellowships for juniors (FRC) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of teachers (NET) in certain areas under the Faculty of Science and Technology. The price of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) for eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission / placement in a university laboratory / national / institution of higher education and research, as applicable.
A candidate may apply either for 'JRF GOLD for' Lectureship (LS) only. He / she may indicate his / her preference in the OMR Application Form / Online Application, as the case may be. CSIR may consider candidates applying for 'JRF' or 'Lectureship only "depending on number of fellowships available and performance in the test subject to the condition that they fulfill the eligibility criteria set down. If a candidate is considered too old for JRF (NET) he / she will automatically be considered for speaker (NET) only.
The subjects of the test: The test will be held in the subjects as shown in: 1. Chemical Sciences 2. Land, atmosphere, ocean and planetary sciences 3. Life Sciences 4. Mathematics 5. Physical Sciences and 6. Engineering
Educational Qualification:
BS-4 year program / BE / B. Tech / B. Pharma / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / M.Sc. or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for General & OBC (50% for SC / ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates).
Candidate enrolled for M.Sc. or having completed 10 +2 +3 years of the qualifying examination above are also eligible for the above subject in the outcome (RA) category provided they fulfill the degree qualification with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to benefit from the grant of the effective date of the award. These candidatges must present format certificate duly certified by the Head of Department / Institute where the candidate appears or has appeared.
BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% marks for General & OBC candidates and 50% for SC / ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates are also eligible.
Applicants with a bachelor's degree, if the discipline of science, engineering or any other, will be eligible for scholarship only after registering / registered for PhD / Integrated PhD programe within valid for two years.
The right to lectureship NET qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria set by UGC. PhD degree holders who have passed degree before September 19 Masters, 1991, at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for a speaker ,
